Crank Forward bikes

Rans crank forward bikes, otherwise known as flat-foot technology bikes, allow riders to easily touch the ground when seated on the very comfortable bike seat. The pedals are located slightly forward compared to a normal upright bike. They are a cross between a recumbent and an upright. Several models are available.

Recumbent bikes

Bacchetta produces some really sporty, sleek 'bents. They even have big-wheel models. Delicious.
Barcroft Cycles are the masterpieces of local recumbentista Bill Cook, a Falls Church resident who builds bikes to be low, fast, and fun.
Easy Racers have designed the model EZ-1, and affordable, cruiser-style recumbent that has been popular with our customers. The classic Easy Racer models (Gold Rush and Tour Easy) continue to please riders with their quality in every aspect.
HP Velotechnik recumbents are made in Germany and they are fast, comfortable and reliable. Models range from the compact long wheelbase commuter the Spirit to the short, low and fast Speedmachine, all with front and rear suspension.
Longbikes recumbents are very high quality bikes designed and built in Colorado. The Eliminator is a short wheelbase bike. The Slipstream, a long wheelbase bike, was originally designed by Dick Ryan as the Vanguard. Both bikes come with underseat steering with an option for above seat steering. Longbikes produce two tandem models, the Jetstream and the Gulfstream.
Rans has been a recumbent manufacturer for over a quarter century and boasts some classic designs.
Volae recumbent frames are hand made, with Reynolds 4130 Chromoly tubing, in limited quantities at Waterford Precision Cycles in Waterford, Wisconsin. All bikes available with the Volae ES frame option: “The cleverly engineered frame separates in the middle to facilitate packing in a standard bike travel case while preserving the high performance that you demand.”

Recumbent trikes

Catrike produces two aluminum tadpole trikes. The Road is a touring and commuting trike and the slightly lighter Speed is a sport trike.
Draisin trikes are specially designed for the disabled and senior citizens.
Sun Cycles offer three models of the Easy Racers-designed EZ-3 trike, including the the EZ-3 USX with underseat steering.
Greenspeed is a family-owned company located in Ferntree Gully, Australia. The produce a full line of touring, racing, and commuting tadpole trikes in their factories in Australia.
Hase Bikes have been producing special cycles for 10 years. All of their products are completely hand-built in their workshop in Waltrop, Germany.
KMX trikes for adults and kids. KMX presently offers two models. The X Class is our adult performance model with sports precision mechanics and gearing. It's the ultimate KMX ride. The K Class is our youth model, or for riders with smaller frames. The K Class provides an economical entry level ride with the solid performance you'd expect from KMX.
Trice tadpole trikes were first produced in England in 1986. They are excellent all around touring trikes, made by hand in England.
WizWheelz tadpole trikes are built in Hastings, Michigan. Steel, aluminum and carbon frames are used. They also produce the TerraTrike Tandem.

We now carry Draisin bikes and trikes. Draisin produces bicycles specially designed for the disabled and senior citizens.

Children's and family products

Adams Trail-a-Bike has several models, from the basic to the fancy, of trail-a-bikes that let parents and kids enjoy cycling together.
Kidz Tandems are made by Brown Cycles of Grand Junction, Colorado. The adult controls - steering, breaking, gearing - are in the back, allowing the child to pedal and enjoy viewing everything that's coming up. This also allows you to see what they are up to and talk a lot more freely.

Tandems

Locally made, high-quality cycles can seat two, says Bill Cook of the Barcroft Columbia. We'd have to agree with Falls Church's resident recumbent master.
Bike Friday produces several models of folding tandem bikes.
Draisin tandems are specially designed for the disabled and senior citizens.
Easy Racers designed the EZ Tandem. This casually recumbent bike has disc brakes and those distinctive "hog" handlebars.
Greenspeed Tandem Trike, with features a stretched, triangulated frame with excellent pedaling stiffness while still having a comfortable ride.
Hase Pino tandem places the rider in the rear in an upright position and the front rider in a recumbent position. The rider in the rear controls steering, shifting, and braking.
Our most popular rental tandem is the KidzTandem by Brown Cycles. The child is seated in the forward position and the adult controls the bike from the rear. Conversations are much easier making for a more fun ride. The adult can easily watch the child seated in front. We sell and rent these bikes.
The Rans Screamer Sport is the tandem produced by the esteemed Kansas manufacturer. The Sport can be ordered with couplings (Screamer TR) so that it breaks down for travel.
WizWheelz introduced the TerraTandem tricycle to much acclaim. How can you go wrong with the tandem favored by Penn Jillette of Penn & Teller fame?

Folding bikes

Bike Friday produces collapsible bikes, small bikes, and a triplet. They accept custom orders.
Birdy folding bikes are compact and durable, with front and rear suspension. Come in and test ride a Birdy or rent a Birdy in a bag.
Brompton folding bikes are made by hand in the UK. They fold fast and small and are fun to ride.
Dahon makes the Boardwalk and Piccolo folding bikes. Each has a carry bag available.

Bike-carrier racks

ATOC is a manufacturer of premium bicycle carriers for cars. The have two primary product lines: Topper Racks for the roof, including the versatile Tandem Topper, and Draftmaster for receiver hitch mounts.
Thule makes hitch-mounted and trunk-supported models of bike carriers.
WizWheelz Trike Transporter will carry one or two WizWheelz, Trice or Catrike trikes.

Arkel makes some of the finest touring and commuter bags on the market. The metal hooks and locking mechanism adjust to fit almost any rack.
