Tern Verge X10 Folding Bike

March 21, 2020

An unusual folding bike, the Tern Verge X10 features high performance wheels and tires and light weight aluminum frame.  A very sporty ride that folds up in a tiny package.   Originally priced between $1500 and $1800, this is a great deal on a very fun bike.  And the color scheme reminds everyone of Dreamsicles!

Sun EZ3 USX Recumbent Trike

February 22, 2020

A clever design when it comes to delta style trikes, this trike has suspension in the main frame and under-seat steering.

Marin Argenta Comp Road bike

February 15, 2020

Here's a nice entry level road bike with drop handlebars and integrated shifting. A mix of Shimano drivetrain components and Tektro brakes makes this a good starter road bike for someone ready to move to this style of bike.  It's a 55.5cm frame, for a medium sized rider.

Trek 7.5 Hybrid

February 15, 2020

A very nice "hybrid" style bike, the Trek 7.5 features good quality components and a comfortable seating position.  Nice and light, in excellent condition, this one is a 15" frame for the smaller rider.

HP Velotechnik Street Machine with extras

January 31, 2020

Just over a year old and with low miles, this is a great touring or all around short wheelbase recumbent bike. Suspension front and rear smooth out the road bumps, and under

seat steering for a relaxed arm position for long rides, make this a great bike for the long haul. Comes with a dynamo hub lighting system, rear rack, kick stand, ventilated cover for the carbon seat, water bottle mounts on the seat, neck read, flag, and Ortlieb waterproof panniers. There's even a small display stand that can come in hand for quick drivetrain adjustments.  New, as equipped, this bike would sell for more than $4600.

Bike Friday Nomad

January 31, 2020

A nice basic travel bike from Bike Friday, complete with the suitcase to pack it in.  Older, but in good condition and set up with a 21 speed drive train, and a rear rack to carry stuff.

Sun X-3 Recumbent Trike

January 31, 2020

One of the more popular "delta" style trikes we've sold over the years, the Sun X-3 gives you a nice comfortable ride, easy handling, and easy mounting and dismounting.  In great shape, this one comes with toe clips, a mirror, cycle computer, rear bag for your stuff, a water bottle and reflective triangle on the front.  New these were about $1200, so this is a great deal.

Tern Link D7i

January 31, 2020

An earlier version of the Link D7i, which lacks the Andros adjustable stem and dynamo lighting system, but still a great little folding bike.  The internal hub requires very little maintenance and is protected from the weather, while the chain has a cover to protect your clothing.  A rear rack for carrying your stuff, and fenders to keep you and the bike clean and dry.  Add to that the water repellent Commuter Bag on the rear rack, and you have terrific bike for commuting and errands at a great price.

Tern Link D8 Folding Bike

January 15, 2020

One of the more popular Terns since the brand was introduced a few years ago, the Link D8 with 8 speed derailleur drivetrain is a great little bike for commuting and combining with other forms of transportation.  20" wheels give you a nice compact fold, while the rack and fenders make the bike practical in all weather and capable of carrying your stuff.  This one comes with some extras like the Tern Trolley Rack with wheels for rolling the folded bike (original standard rack inluded as well), a bike cover integrated into the Trolley Rack, and a Tern Stow Bag for carrying the bike when folded.

Bike Friday Air Glide

January 01, 2020

An interesting travel bike from Bike Friday, the Air Glide uses a titanium “boom” cantilevered off the main frame, lending a bit of suspension to the frame.  This one is sized on the small to medium side, with an effective top tube length of about 52cm.  With a 27 speed drive train and fenders, this should make a nice little travel bike.

DEMO Kidz Tandem

November 09, 2019

Another "retired demo" situation, where we've had the bike in the store for a season and it's time for it to find a home, so we're offering it at a great price. A great family bike, the Kidz Tandem puts your youngster in front of the adult, who steers, shifts, and brakes from behind.  That way you can keep an eye on the younger rider while riding, and it's easier to communicate with them.  Normally $2100, we're now offering this one at $1599.

DEMO Bacchetta Giro A26

November 09, 2019

Long one of the most popular short wheelbase "high racer" recumbents, the Giro A26 is a quick and sporty bike that's a lot of fun to ride, and super comfortable to boot.  The larger front wheel puts the rider in a more aerodynamic position and the higher crank allows you to put more of your back into pedaling.  This one has been on the shop floor most of the season, so we're offering it at a discount as a "retired demo" bike.  Originally selling for $2300, this bike has only been ridden on test rides near the shop.  There's some shop wear (scratched paint on the fork), and it has a 3x9 drivetrain instead of the 2020 spec 2x11.

TerraTrike 3.0

November 09, 2019

Another of TerraTrike's more popular models in the past, the 3.0 is a nice, comfortable tadpole trike.  Equipped with a 27-speed drive train with bar-end shifters and disc brakes, Shimano SPD dual-sided pedals, as well as a rear rack, flag, and rearview mirror.  This would make a very good first trike at a great price.  The size is small, suitable for riders with an X-seam of 39 - 43 inches.  Measuring X-seam:

Tour Easy Classic, small

September 14, 2019

Here's the Classic version of the iconic Tour Easy long wheelbase recumbent, one of the most comfortable, stable and popular recumbents of all time.  In very good condition with nearly new tires, a mirror, two water bottle cages, two small bags to carry your stuff and a kickstand, this bike is ready to roll.  The price new for this model is $2999, and these days it's nearly impossible to get your hands on a new one, so this is a good
chance to get a US-made Tour Easy!

Schwinn Searcher hybrid

September 07, 2019

Here's an older, very nice hybrid from Schwinn, perfect for casual rides on the bike trail, commuting, or running errands.  With a nice upright seating position and backswept handlebars, this is a very comfortable bike to ride.

TerraTrike Rover I8

May 10, 2019

A great entry-level "tadpole" style recumbent trike, the Rover has been many riders introduction to the recumbent trike world.  With a reliable, simple drivetrain built around the Shimano Nexus 8 speed internally geared hub, this trike is easy for the new rider to get accustomed to.  In addition, the seating position is high enough for easy mounting and dismounting, and the disc brakes provide reliable, solid braking.  The price of a new Rover I8 is now $1499.

March 23, 2019

An older but very nice ICE trike, from back when they sold them under the Trice name.  The Q-series had the lower-slung frame similar to the current Sprint series, and NT means Narrow Track, where the distance between the front wheels is a bit narrower than the standard (27" instead of 31").  This comes in handy when you're dealing with going in and out of conventional doors, or on trails with bollards.  A really nice riding trike!
