“Thirty Day” Checkup:

All new bikes and trikes have a “settling in” phase, where cables might stretch, spokes might change tension, and the like. We strongly advise you to bring your new cycle back to us after roughly thirty days or 100 miles so that we can check it over and make any adjustments needed. After this initial adjustment, your bike should require little maintenance for quite some time. The “Thirty Day” check is free of charge and typically takes about 15 – 20 minutes, and usually can be done while you wait, depending on the day.

Continuing Care:

When you purchase a new bike from us, we promise to provide you with our “Continuing Care” service for as long as you own the bike.  Specifically, any time you bring your bike in for a service where labor would normally total $20 or less, we will do the work for free, charging you only for parts. For example, if you bring your bike in for a flat tire, we would only charge you for the cost of the tube, and waive the labor fee, saving you about $10. Many minor adjustments fall within this range, but a full tune up is typically $100-130 in labor, so we will charge you for that.

The idea behind this is to have you bring your bike in for little things, in order that they not become big things.  With a reasonable amount of care and attentiveness, you might find you can go quite a long time without having to pay for service on your bike.

Returns and Exchanges:

It's our goal when we sell you a bike that we sell you the RIGHT bike for your needs. That's the reason we have encouraged you to thoroughly test ride as much as is needed to make an informed decision. Even so, we do understand that in some rare instances a bike or trike might just not work out for you.

For a “stock” bike (a model and size we typically keep in stock):

If the bike is returned in “like new” condition, within 14 days of your purchase you may exchange it for another new bike from our stock, using the value of the returned bike as credit toward another.

ANY damage or wear (mechanical or appearance) will be assessed and an appropriate amount will be deducted from the available credit amount.

If you wish to return a bike within 14 days and DO NOT wish to exchange it for another bike, we will assess a re-stocking fee of up to 15%, depending upon the circumstances.

Beyond 14 days, we will treat all returns as consignment sales, in which case we will attempt to sell the bike for you through our store at what we deem a fair price. Upon sale of the bike, you will receive 75% of whatever price it actually sells for, minus the cost of any parts or labor we need to put into it prior to sale. We reserve the right to terminate the consignment agreement at any time after three months.

For a special order bike (a configuration we don't typically keep in stock):

All of the above applies, with the additional caveat that a re-stocking fee of 15% will apply in ALL cases.

For a used bike bought from us:

ALL used bike returns will be treated as consignment sales as noted above.
